Restorative Dentistry and Crown & Bridge

White resins are used for sealing smaller cavities and areas of tooth decay. When damage to the tooth is more extensive, inlay or onlay materials may be used to provide the most strength and durability to the restored tooth.

A porcelain and/or gold crowns (caps) are recommended when the existing tooth structure will not support resins, inlays or onlays.

Silver amalgam filling materials is still used in special circumstances, but for aesthetic, health and environmental reasons we prefer to repair and restore teeth using white filling material whenever possible.
