Root Canal Therapy
Toothaches caused by an inflammation or infection of the pulp inside the tooth can produce symptoms such as pain, sensitivity to heat and cold, or swelling. Without treatment, infection can spread to the bone, leading to bone loss and potential loss of the infected tooth.
Root canal therapy can save a tooth by removing the dead or dying tissue from inside the tooth leaving the outer "shell" intact. It relieves you of the symptoms, and allows you to keep your own natural tooth. Once the root canal has been performed, the crown of the tooth is restored artificially using porcelain or gold.
In addition to general dentistry, the Hunt Club Dental Centre specializes in restorative procedures like root canals and crowns. Contact us to book your consultative appointment.
